Transition to sharing a room

Wondering how others have navigated this. Our 2-year-old DD sleeps through in her own room (still in a cot), and we have 4-month-old DD sleeping in our room (in bassinet). Hoping they will share a room one day but I can't even imagine how it will work?! The baby still wakes for a feed once a night and regressions will increase that, I'm sure. Should I wait until the baby is toddler age before moving them into the same room? Or should I abandon the idea all together. I shared a room with my brother as kids and we loved it, I know my eldest daughter would love it too- she's besotted with her sister. I just don't want to ruin everyone's sleep!

I'd wait until the little one is reliably sleeping through but otherwise do it pretty early.
