Scooter recommendations

Hi all my son will be 6 next month and he needs a new scooter. Plan is to buy him one for his birthday.
He is really tall for his age, looks like an 8 year old! His current scooter is too small for him now, it’s a micro scooter. I got it second hand and it’s been great!
Ive just been looking at the next micro scooter up (deluxe and the Pro) and they are so expensive! About £130
are they really worth the money ? Does anyone recommend any other brands?
Things I like about the micro scooter are the brake and the lean to steer feature. Do all scooters have these?
thanks in advance

We moved to a 2 wheel micro scooter at age 5. The foldable Sprite. It's got small wheels so best on smooth paths but it's light and easy to carry (we added a carry strap) and will take an adult's weight if you need to scoot it home! A year later she also wanted a stunt scooter for the skate park. But she still uses the Sprite for scooting places. It should last till she's 12.

Look for second hand ones

But also if he's going to use it most days and it's going to last a good 3-4 years, then it's a sound investment getting a good one.
