Party sweet cone filler ideas

hello,* *I am making 50 party sweet cone things for the first time and intended to fill with rainbow drops but they can't be found! Any ideas for low cost filler sweets for the bottom layer? It's really short notice and I thought this would be a cheap alternative to plastic stuff but now I'm puzzled about what to put in.

I'd just buy each child a tiny gift rather than give sweet. A seed bomb could be cheap if you buy in bulk. A couple of sunflower seeds and a mini pot 🤷‍♀️

Those little marshmallows you put on top of hot chocolate are bulky and cheap! Get in Asda or anywhere really. Or millions sweets. Or sweet pips. Or chocolate drops could be cheap. Think tescos have them in their value miss molly range.

We found Rainbow Drops in Asda and Sainsbury’s if you are near either. Otherwise Millions work well or even Smarties.

Millions? Does any child like those Rainbow Drops? 🙈😂 My daughter never eats them

My first thought was marshmallows.

I saw these on Facebook earlier- it's a cone- candy floss and sprinkles. Would be cheap to do but I think it looks cute

Love that cone but I've not seen candy floss around either. @rach971 nope no one likes them but they uses to be super cheap lol.

Thanks I'll aim for small marshmallows, I try and avoid as lots of vegetarian friends but I may have no choice. I will see if I can get to an asda, there is one just quite far and I don't shop there

Thanks all

I'm just not sure that would work in a sweetie cone 😀

I think most kids would prefer a sweet cone tbh.

Popcorn is a favourite here.

B&M do sweets at affordable prices that can be opened up and shared among the party cones plus Poundland are great too even for little toys to put in them!

Veggie haribo?

SophiaSW1 · 13/04/2023 23:43

Jelly tots? The last ones I did I used jelly beans at the bottom

HamstersAreMyLife · 14/04/2023 16:26

Ooh popcorn!!!!!!!!!!
Right I'm off to B&M tomorrow and if I can't find anything I'm going for seed pips from amazon 😃
