Daughter wants Shopkins - but what do you do with them?!!

My daughter is five and keeps asking for Shopkins. I’ve been on Amazon and seen a massive assortment of little things like tiny replica Pringles tubs or washing
powder boxes that look completely pointless but I must be missing something seeing as they are so popular.

So, can someone explain to me how their children play with these things?! Do they use them in dolls houses or are there larger toys you are meant to use them in conjunction with? Or are they just ornaments?

I don’t want to buy bits of plastic that are going to go in the bin after a month, is it likely that will happen?

Nothing, but my DD loved just having them at that age!

Yep, they are little bits of plastic. My daughter used to sort them & arrange them. She loved them

My kids were both absolute magpies at that age, and loved to collect teeny tiny things! They’d get them out and mine them up and admire them!

The play and fiddle with them, and use their imaginations.

My DS has some larger shop type things that the little shopkins slot into. She’s loves them! We got a huge second hand bundle. I believe they don’t make them any more.

Nothing but my daughter loved them when she was younger. I don't think they make them any more I looked for them last year as she was being nostalgic and wished she could have some and they were a fortune on Amazon and eBay
I ended up ordering some second hand on Vinted.

My daughter loved them and would display them/mix them up with/decorate other dolls houses/sylvanian families etc. she is 10 now and I sold a huge bag of shopkins for about a tenner on local fb page so hopefully they’ve gone to occupy another little one for a few more years.

Hoover them up

Aren’t children funny lol. Ok so I’m not missing anything, they are a bit pointless (from an adult perspective), but kids love them. My daughter is also the type to collect and love tiny little things for no apparent reason so I understand now. Thanks 😂
