Nursery Settling

Have recently started LO 18 months in nursery and she has had two settling sessions so far 1 hour and 2 hours and although fine with me there and not interacting with me when I leave … or should I say she she noticed … she is upset and cries for me. I’m finding this ALOT tougher than I thought I would, and I know honestly it’s perseverance that will pay off but I’m so sad about it and I just want someone to say they felt the same… 😔
I am all positive and smiles for her and she settles super quick when I’m back and was still keen to go back for more fun with me present so clearly isn’t that distressed, but I am…
Trying my best to toughen up. It’s normal to be heartbroken right?😭

I have got all this to come!! I also work in a nursery so I see how tough it can be on parents. Honestly though, they settle so quick as soon as they see all the toys and happy faces smiling at them. Try not to worry, she's in good hands.

My daughter was fine during her settling in sessions, didn't bat an eyelid. Then during her first proper session (was an afternoon session so lunch until end of day) they said she'd basically none stop cried the entire time 🙈 It isn't nice but they do settle pretty quick, it'll all be worth it in the end 😊
