Been in contact with Strep A

So I'm a bit panicky when it comes to stuff like this, but earlier today I popped to my friends house on my own to help move something, was there for about 10 mins, her daughter was a bit under the weather she asked me to check her forehead which I did, I then came home and worked all day from home before collecting my own daughter from nursery (change of clothes and several hand washes throughout the day). This evening my friends daughter suddenly got really ill and turned out it was Strep A, thankfully she's on meds now and it's ok, but I'm having a bit of a freak out that I could have picked it up and could now pass it to my daughter.
I know this is real hypochondriac behaviour but just looking for some reassurance ❤️

It’s much less likely for you to catch it and pass it on. Your child hasn’t even been in contact with the sick child. A child in my son’s class had it a few weeks ago and was hospitalised, no other child in the class has caught it. You might want to seek some support for anxiety issues, something like CBT could help to stop you catastrophising and imagining worst case scenarios.

Thank you for your reply @Prahdeepx I have done a lot of work over the years to combat these issues, mostly I am completely fine but occasionally when these things happen relating to a serious and contagious illness I of course do worry when it comes to my child. I'm glad that your son and his friends were ok!
