Bed time for 12 year old

What time do your 12 year olds go to bed?and what do their bedtime routines look like? I’m despairing at the mo!!

I know we're in the minority, but my 11yo (year 6) still goes to bed before 8. Usually comes upstairs with me and the younger ones at 7:15ish, I do their story etc while 11yo has a shower and gets ready for bed, I have the little ones asleep by 7:45, then I pop in and have a chat with 11yo, give him a bit longer reading, lights off 8:20ish.

He falls asleep very easily at that time, and usually wakes up 6.30-7ish,which works perfectly for us on a school day.

(Fwiw there are many MANY parts of our day that do not run so smoothly! But bedtime has always been pretty straightforward. It probably also helps that I usually go to bed pretty much straight after him, so the whole house feels "shut down" and ready for night time)

12 year old goes to bed at 9 on a school night. Bedtime routine is we tell him its bedtime brush your teeth and go to bed and he does. Sometimes he will ask if he can just finish the game he is playing (xbox) which we agree to as it would ruin it for his friends if he logged off mid game.
