Good people of Mumsnet-please help replace lost dark pink muslin cloth 💓

Dear Lovely People, our son accidentally dropped his comforter which is a dark pink muslin cloth (bought in a multipack from Mothercare in 2017…there was a bright blue, a bright yellow/orange, a green and this dark pink one in the pack) today at the Eden Project in the car park and it can’t be found. He has carried it with him for 5 years, and told us after a 7 hour drive home that he left it in the car park.

This is a call out to anyone who might have the same cloth at home. Please, please, please could I buy it off you. We are in Manchester and I will cover postage. I have tried to give him other cloths over the years but he will know if it is not the exact same one/shape and colour. He has gone to bed inconsolable. Years ago I saw a local Facebook post for a woman who needed the orange one for much the same reason and she so I have her the one I had. Praying that someone out there will be in a position to do the same. It’s this colour. Thank you in advance x

Could you dye one? As he is old enough to know it won’t be exactly the same one, he may cope with joining you to dye one to remind him of the one he lost?

I have one, but I don’t think the set was from Mothercare, I bought them from a charity shop (they were new) and just thought they would be rather jolly cleaning cloths. The label has rainbow muslins on one side and faye&lou on the other. I’m happy to send it to you, but I would like to wash it first( I used it for dry dusting today). You may not be happy with the fact that it has been used for cleaning? Not sure if it will come through in the photo, but the material has a feint square self pattern. Also the colour is much closer to the one you have posted.

I don't have one but I really and truly hope someone comes up with one for you, or that a miracle occurs and the missing one resurfaces

Thank you so so much. It’s the perfect colour but I’m not sure about the texture. I don’t mind that it’s been used for cleaning at all. If I don’t get a positive response from the Eden project today (I know it’s unlikely as even if it was found, it looks like a rag and was probably thrown away) I would be very grateful to see if this one could work. It’s the exact same colour.
