Slight sweaty smell

Hi all
I've noticed my 10 year old dd has a very slight (adult) sweat smell under her armpits at the end of the day. You only notice it if she hugs you and her armpits are literally in your face lol.

She is absolutely tiny for her age, really skinny and has no signs of puberty. I checked her for breast buds but there's nothing.

Does this mean puberty is going to kick off? I worry as she is autistic and is SO young for her age.
My friend said her 8 year old son stinks like a teenager at the end of the day and no puberty is going on there

Thanks

Pretty sure I was starting to pong at that age! I started to grow breasts in year 7 and had my first period just before I turned 13.

Be gentle with how you tell her she smells. I haven't quite gotten over my mum's blunt approach!

Oh so it doesn't mean it's imminent then?

Yeah I won't say anything, just more showers 😊.

Yeah my 8yo DS has been wearing spray deodorant for a year or so

He uses Vaseline Aloe Sensitive and gets on well with it

Bar soap (not dove) is great for sweaty smells
Shower gel can cause a sweaty smell so best avoided
