One year old not eating solids

unless its banana and yoghurt or crumpets he just won’t eat it. Everything gets thrown on floor or spat out.

he does have a bad cold and is also teething so don’t know if that’s contributing But I just don’t know what to give him for lunch and for tea I try to make something for the whole family but it’s exhausting when you slave away for ages for him not to like anything you make (pancakes, soups, fish, chicken etc etc)

any tips? Do I just feed him what he will eat until he feels better and hope it’s just cold and teething that’s doing it and not a fussy eater?

he starts nursery soon and will get a lunch there so hopefully he eats that at least.

he was up loads last night and I’m sure part of it was because he was hungry.

It depends on whether he isn't hungry because of his cold in which case I would humour him or whether he is being wilful in which case I would just give him what you and the family are having.

@yikesanotherbooboo thanks he will be having what we’re having for tea so hopefully he eats some of it. I do have a few pouches of baby food left that I could give him later in week as a fallback if need be.

I just worry as he’s not a large child weight wise so don’t want him to lose loads from not eating, I’m currently weening off breast and he was struggling with that last night too because of his cold. Will try and fill him up on cows milk if he doesn’t have much for tea and hopefully he might sleep a bit better than last night
