Tips on moving house with a toddler?

We are moving house in the next few weeks/months (no completion date yet but I think it will be end of May/beginning of June).

If my guess is right, our DD will be 15/16 months when we move. She’s a great baby, very happy and sociable, generally good sleeper (not tonight as she was sick this afternoon and has just woken up hungry) so I’m not too worried about her adapting but just want to make the transition as smooth as possible for her so just looking for some advice/tips? TIA x

congratulations on your new home hope u make alot of happy memories there!

My brother and his wife just moved with their 2 little ones. slightly older than your little one. But they prepared theirs by speaking to them about the move often and then taking the children over often once the house was okay for the kids to be there (construction work / dangerous stuff was out the way.)
They would work away away whilst kids would play to get them used to the surroundings. maybe once the rooms are to a good standard you could take little one with you let her explore so she gets her bearings with the new house. Some children are usually good with adapting to new surroundings so hopefully you wont have any issues with her when you move. Good luck! xx

If grandparents etc are happy to have her overnight.. say yes!
Get their room sorted first with familiar objects.

We moved when DC1 was 2. DGPs had him whilst we did the actual move. We got his room sorted and a fair amount of the other things then collected him.

Did the usual night routine and he slept as well as he ever did.
