Turns out I am.

I thought I was a patient person… turns out I am not.

I really wish I could be better at this parenting game but this almost 3 year old is tearing me apart.

OP any child can test the patience of a saint in the right situation. Unless you’re collapsing into a screaming episode all the time you need to give yourself a break. If you are maybe you need a bit of a break. Don’t be so hard on yourself!

I'm with you OP. I didn't used to get angry. I certainly never used to shout. I was never one to fall out with others or have arguments. Yet with my kids I catch myself full on screeching. It's awful.

I feel so awful. It’s one of the main reasons I will not have another.

No advice but just to say you’re not alone, I feel exactly the same for the same reason.

Oh my, me too. I’ve been really struggling recently, mine is nearly 3 and tearing me apart too. I had a major breakdown yesterday and cried most the morning. Does it get easier??

Im a single parent to two year old twins OP and a slightly older child and I've just sat in the bathroom and cried because I feel like all I've done is raise my voice nag tell off and generally be shouty the whole weekend. I just feel so angry too, I used to be such a patient person but lately I don't seem to have any reserves of patience left.

Ha same. My almost 3 year old has ruined me today!
