Had a 20 minute tantrum because she wanted it to be raining outside 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

This was at 8am. The rest of the day did not improve.

Anyone want to cheer me up with their toddler dramas?

.. called me a poo.

.. wanted tuna pasta (around lunch time) for a ‘snack’ - I said “that sounds good to me, I’ll pop some water on to boil and cook for some lunch now” .. queue massive meltdown screaming “NO I DONT WANT LUNCH. I WANT TUNA PASTA”

I tried to explain.. I couldn’t get through. 😂

More recently, very night. We have the “it’s time for bed” argument. Where she looks outside sees it’s still light and think I’m snows for her to bed when it’s still daytime 🫠

Mine hasn’t been too bad today but did steal the Easter bunny from a party and had a tantrum when we had to put him back!

Mine wouldn’t eat any dinner whatsoever and proceeded to post the peas down hee vest. Then she stole a rocky road and rubbed the chocolate all over her face.

I got my son undressed for his bath. He pooped on the floor. I guess I should be grateful it wasn’t in the bath.
He’s only 18 months, in his defence.

romdowa · 08/04/2023 20:12

My 18 month old cried because the crane that was parked outside our house for the past week was taken away 🤣 he then roared because I wouldn't let him remove every item of clothing from the washing basket and then we had more tears because daddy ate the dinner toddler has refused an hour before 🙈🙈

MrsBunnyEars · 08/04/2023 20:13

Was in a foul mood this morning because she’d dreamed that granny said she could have chips for breakfast, and I refused to comply.

She’s been lovely since about 10am, though.

difficultlemons · 08/04/2023 20:19

😂😂 oh these are making me chuckle, thanks

Not a toddler but my 9 year old had a massive strop at the church Easter fun day because I wouldn't let him unplug the generator thingy for the bouncy castle so he could charge the iPad (other electronic devices and plug sockets were available - no he doesn't have any send)

TheWayTheLightFalls · 08/04/2023 20:32

One had a meltdown because I buckled her into her car seat, the other had a meltdown because I wouldn't let him try ouzo. 18m. Have twins, they said...

kernowpicklepie · 08/04/2023 20:39

19 month old tantrums today:

I wouldn't let the dog lick her hand
I wouldn't let her run on the sofa
I took her off the windowsill as she decided to climb into it
I put her in her kitchen tower that she wanted to be in
She got upset when she had no orange segments left
Asked for her socks to be put on and then was annoyed that I put them on her

MsSquiz · 08/04/2023 20:46

Is 3 still a toddler?
Anyway, my 3 year old requested a picnic lunch, and proceeded to sit rubbing a slice of cheese all over her face and neck like it was the softest cashmere!
Forcing me to utter the immortal line "please stopping rubbing cheese over your face" 🤦🏻‍♀️

difficultlemons · 08/04/2023 21:05

Had a tantrum in town because he was fed up with going in up and down lifts and wanted to use side to side lifts

Zola1 · 08/04/2023 21:08

Climbed a huge rock in the park with her brothers and tried to throw herself off the top in my general direction shouting 'yeet'. In her defence normally when she does this off things I'm able...this time 8 had to grab the back of her top 🙃

Peachyscream · 08/04/2023 21:11

2yr old dd, tantrum caused by me telling her to stop spitting on her hands and rubbing the spit and her snot on her face. Must be some new beauty fad i havent heard of...

difficultlemons · 08/04/2023 22:04

@stormelf haha this is a new one on me 🙄😂

@Zola1 does "yeet" mean something or is it just a general war cry Grin

Tantrum because he's hungry but proceeding to reject the endless list of foods offered then cried because food finally wanted was cooling down... then threw it straight on the floor once given to him 🤦
This has been going on for weeks.. and the hanger tantrums get worse with each passing day 🤣
Other tantrums caused by:
Breaking a toy then expecting me to pull some Mary Poppins style repair!

Changing tshirt
Removing jumper because said hangry toddler was too hot
Putting juice in his bottle after he asked for it
Put the show on he loved yesterday and apparently hates today
Sitting next to him
Not sitting next to him 5 minutes later
Broke his ice lolly then refused to eat it because it was broken 🤷‍♀️

BotherThat · 08/04/2023 22:29

My almost 2 year old gets really annoyed when she nicely says ‘please mummy’ and I don’t know what she wants because she’s neglected to tell me what she’s actually asking for. She thinks I can read her mind.

She got furious today sitting at the table shouting for ‘pizza’ and I said it was 8am and I wasn’t making pizza for breakfast. Turns out what she actually wanted was a ‘piece of’ paper 😁🫠

ElaOfSalisbury · 08/04/2023 22:30

Mine had the biggest strop because I dared to give the dog a cuddle.

😂😂😂 she considers it a general war cry but her brothers say it when they throw something, I think its off YouTube or something. She has a wide and varied vocabulary largely inspired by siblings who enjoy YouTube, TikTok, and Fortnite. And her Dad who lives for Internet memes 🙃🙄

BrokeTheToddlersHeart · 12/08/2023 18:37

Didn't let her poke my eyes.
