Buying a bouncy castle

I'm considering hiring a bouncy castle for a party at home but the cost of actually buying one isn't much more as I can't fit a massive one in my garden. The ones I'm looking at fit about three children at once so would then be great for my three DCs.

Has anyone bought a bouncy castle? Any features you'd recommend or warn against? Not sure if it's better to have a bigger bouncing area or smaller bouncing area and slide?

Specific recommendations with links are very welcome!

Also feel free to let me know if you bought one and it only got used a couple of times or was a hassle.

We've literally just deflated ours in the lounge. Amazing present we got given -

My DD asks for it to go up frequently and we're lucky that it fits in our front room. Has been used in the past with 5 kids quite happily.

Would highly recommend.

Oh that's a good endorsement! Do you just use it inside? I hadn't thought of doing that but now wondering if it gets too dirty outside to use inside afterwards?

We've got one from Bepop they double up as a water slide. They're fantastic. We have this one...

Get a water slide one! So much fun in the summer. Get it from Costco and if anything goes wrong they will give you a full refund during the return period.

Yes. Best purchase ever. Bought by us and both sets of parents for one birthday. Used on play dates and every birthday for years. You’re plugged it in and up it went then packed away again in minutes. Don’t know why everyone doesn’t get one

Do you have neighbours? The pump to keep inflated is so noisy, I'd be raging if my neighbours got one 🤣

Have neighbours, don't have hot tub or a Tiki bar though so not the worst person to live next door to on Mumsnet. 😅

We have one with a slide, bought from a hire company who were updating their stock. Absolutely brilliant, one of the best things we’ve bought.
