7 months Feeding Nightmare

My 7 months old baby suddenly seems to have become averse to milk, although she doesn’t take much solids yet.. just a few teaspoons. It is so hard to finish her bottles although before she used to drink all 240ml in one go, now even 150ml per feed is a struggle. She only takes little bit while lying flat on her back! Which I know isn’t recommended. Anyone else faced this? Any guidance would be much appreciated.

How is she when you're trying to feed? Upset or distracted? How does she refuse? Does she close her mouth tight or just turn away? If she's not getting upset and just turning away then I'd suggest she's just going through the distracted phase. I've been going through this with my second since she was 4 months old and she's now eight months! The only time she'll feed is when she's going to sleep, otherwise she'll just look away a d look round the room. She eats a decent amount of food so these days I just don't try and give her milk except before naps/bed, but it was tricky and very frustrating before we started weaning.

Have you tried her with an open cup? Mine will take a few ounces of formula that way.

I know this sounds awful and definately wouldn't win any parenting awards but very long story short my 7 month old has been very fussy with his bottles since birth and now the best way to get him to drink his bottle in his bouncer chair in front of hey bear on YouTube . He gets too distracted otherwise but when watching that he just downs the whole thing. I know it is not good to do that but his weight wad plateauing so we had to take him to a specialist so imo I'm willing to do anything to get that milk in him lol!

Oh I see. Thanks for sharing your experience. Yes mostly shutting mouth tight and looking away. Gets upset when I try to coax her to take more… I do take her to a dark, quiet room these days.

Have you changed her milk since she turned 6 months @GGDD?
