Parents at parties

At what age do parents stop accompanying their kids to parties?
Recently saw a video of my 5th birthday and only my parents and one auntie were there.
Is this the same now? DS is a toddler so obviously I currently accompany him but catering for all the parents is such a lot!

IME, once they are at school, so turning 5, but from various posts on here, this isn't the case everywhere - some parents seem to want to accompany their dc when they are quite a bit older than that.
