Best time for kids party

DD will be turning 4 in the summer.
I've booked a hall for the morning so party will be 10.30-12.30 approx.

We've recently had a few invites for parties from 3pm-5pm and wondering if this more of the done thing? Am i missing something?

We have parties pretty much every weekend.

The best ones are 10:30-12:30 with lunch at 11:30.
The later ones are fine but I find it annoying that they kind of use up the whole day.

Basically, whatever time you choose is fine, but serve food an hour in.

Morning is better, it leaves you with the afternoon free. Later parties mean a whole day wasted waiting.

Yes to this. I want to be able to get my kid up and to the party then after that still have down time at home.

I think as long as the food is served at lunch or tea time it’s fine. I’ve been to lots of 1-3pm ones with food served at 2/2.30. Pointless IMO, as my daughter will need lunch before we go at 1pm and then won’t each much, and will need another meal at 5ish. As above early afternoon breaks up the whole day too.

Yeah you can't go anywhere much as the kids just want to go party

Morning definitely. Late afternoons are not ideal, and definitely
not 3-5 on Sundays, curse those!

Much prefer a morning party because most kids are in a better mood in the morning. Also some 3 year olds still nap so if your DD has younger friends, the morning is better

I prefer a morning one too but when booking a party I found lots of halls didn't have Saturday morning availability as they had regular club bookings so that could be part of it. Also sat morning is a popular time for kids clubs and activities like football etc.
so basically just pick what best suits you and hope people can make it.
