Bossy friends - advice needed

My daughter is in reception and I am navigating her new friendships and the play dates that come with it.

Being girls, there is a lot of cat fights however I struggle with knowing my boundaries as a parent when she has a friend over to our house for a play date who is constantly bossing her around.

I try to not get involved as they need to figure these things out for themselves, however I also feel I need to teach my daughter to stand up for herself and how else can you do that if not in the moment?

Cat fights is a really dreadful term to describe little girls testing boundaries being in dispute
theyre not cats.they’re not fighting.they are exploring, learning and testing allegiances and boundaries
You can appropriately get involved by steering choices, offering options. Using appropriate and open language to guide an outcome. I’m not sure you paasively observe your kid being bossed about. Yes she does have to figure stuff but you don’t let it slide if it’s too overbearing too bossy
open phrases…shall we, let’s share…let’s try… hey let’s let @Kezzy9 daughter have a turn
