Reflux help... really bad cough?

Hello!! Second time mummy here. My first DD had reflux, symptoms of bad regurgitation of acidic water, screaming etc.
Had my second DD in Feb (she is just over 6 weeks) and she has also got reflux. She is also unsettled but seems to be better with the use of carobel and omeprazole... but she has a really bad cough with it. Doc has said chest is clear and it must be caused by reflux. She can cough for hours, and sometimes panics me by seeming like she is choking. My elder girl didn't have a cough like that. She is on 1.5 scoops of carobel in a 7oz bottle... should we be giving her more? She is also on 3ml of omeprazole which may be upped to 5ml if she doesn't settle. But I am just concerned about the cough... any advice? We already have her crib tilted quite a bit!!

Sounds like a milk allergy to me @MountainMummy95. Have you trialled a milk suitable for CMPA yet?

@PritiPatelsMaker we have aptamil pepti 1 in the cupboard but haven't tried if yet as all other symptoms seemed to start to improve with other meds... but maybe it's worth a go? I assumed the cough was caused by irritation in her throat cause by reflux regurgitation?

It could be that but it could very well be CMPA causing the reflux in the first place.

I'd definitely give it a try Flowers
