My ds is 3 and a half, for the past month or so he keeps telling me he doesn't like/love me anymore. It seems to be more when he doesn't get things his way, or hes told no. It hurts hearing this on a daily but i try just tell myself its a phase and it will pass and always tell him i love him very much no matter what. Anyone elses little ones went through this??

This is so, so normal op, please don't take it personally. He's testing boundaries because he knows you're his absolute safe space. Just stay very calm and say, "Well, I love you very much" and then act like he never said it. This is definitely a phase. He's looking for a reaction, don't give him one.

At three, to be honest, I’d just say “don’t be silly, of course you love mummy and daddy, we’re your family”. He’s under the impression “love” means I get what I want and “not love” means you stopped me. It’s just a silly muddle.
