Toddler swearing help?

I've mentioned my toddler before. She's 2, 3 in 4 months. Anyway we have a cat. My husband fell over said cat last week who was winding in between his legs and muttered 'fucking cat'. Toddler was behind him and decided that's the word she needs in her life.
She now refers to our cat and well any cat as 'fucking cat'. Husband made the mistake of laughing first time she did It and she now thinks irs funny.
We've been ignoring her when she says it and explaining its not a nice word. Is there anything else I should be doing? Or will this just phase out?

You could try correcting her pronunciation by really elaborately getting her to repeat ‘flipping’ when she says it.

worked for us with dd saying ‘god’ at around the same age. We corrected her to ‘gosh’ every time and she picked it up (very religious close family member we didn’t want to offend!).

I'd just keep ignoring it at that age I think. My DD was a bit younger and went through a phase of saying "oh fuck" whenever she dropped something. She stopped after not too long.

@Cornettoninja that's a really good idea..don't mind her saying flipping. I'll try correcting her. I feel so embarrassed when she's charging down the street pointing at every cat we see and of course we live in an area with a lot of cats

Ahh, memories of my firstborn in the supermarket excitedly shouting out every time he saw a clock. Unfortunately, he couldn't yet pronounce the letter L ...
