Exhausted by toddler tantrums

2 year old has really ramped them up lately. I’m really struggling to get him to do anything he doesn’t want to like get in the car seat or come in for dinner. Giving notice / warnings doesn’t make any difference. Bedtime routine takes forever and it’s draining the life out of me. Please tell me the end is in sight!

Yes they will get better OP! Take this from someone who has had two very tantrumy children - make sure that they are really well rested- still try to get naps in the day at this age as it will really help you big time to reduce the drama even if it’s a drive in the car for an hour to get them to sleep.

There is little reasoning at this age with tantrums , that will come at 3/4 years old. Just stay calm yourself, keep them safe from themselves and wait it out and they will burn themselves out- then give them a reassuring cuddle afterwards for both your comfort. It’s all beyond their emotional control at this age and an annoying part of child development! It’s a sign of a strong character😀
