For a third child?

i always thought the stopped it for more than 2 children but someone recently told me that’s a misconception it’s child tax credit or some other benefit that got stopped and there is no cap on child benefit?

Google UK Child Benefit and you'll get the answer at the .gov link.
In short, there's no limit to how many children you can get it for.

You can get it for as many kids as you have. It is only Universal credit child element and tax credits which is capped at 2.

No limit for CB, the limit was for tax credits, now UC. But there's exceptions there too. I get Tax Credits for my third, who's 3 now, because he's a twin. So I get it for first born son, first born twin and then cos no3 wasn't my fault, born son too
