Is this safe to keep giving two month old?

Two month old has a really bad cough and although his chest is clear he's really mucusy so a pharmacist suggested it could be congestion causing post nasal drip triggering the cough. They gave me saline nose spray, snuffle babe one. He has been coughing really hard after feeds and bringing up a lot of milk but since using the saline spray the sick has thick green mucus in it.

Am I right in thinking it's clearing his sinuses and coming out in the sick so it's working and I should carry on?

Or should I stop?!

Maybe double check with the pharmacist or another medical professional if it's green but is sounds like it's working. Babies' upper respiratory tracts get quite bunged up and they need a bit of help to clear them. You can use a snot sucker in combination with the saline drops at that age.

I think you can also put the snuffle babe rub on a tissue in the vicinity of the baby (not on the skin) at that age.
