To wake 12 month old with temperature

12 month old had vaccinations today. Had been very unsettled but eventually settled off to sleep, she is asleep in my partners arms at the moment. I checked and she has a temp of 38.2. Wondering should I wake her to give calpol or wait until she wakes to give it?

If she's asleep I wouldn't unless it goes up to 40. The temp is supposed to happen and is the body's normal reaction - unless she's really uncomfortable then I'd just let her crack on. I'd maybe do it before you go to bed just so that you know she's covered until morning but apart from that I'd leave her as long as she's had enough fluids

I wouldn't wake a sleeping child in those circs. Hope they feel better soon.

Thanks everyone. I left her and her temperature has come down! Hopefully she'll be feeling a bit better tomorrow
