Nappy free time?

Just wondering what other people use on the ground for nappy free time? My DD nearly always pees and sometimes poops during nappy free time so I have been using Pampers Disposable change mats. They don’t seem widely available anymore plus they are not sustainable of course so I was just wondering what other people do for not yet crawling babies? And what do you do once they are crawling? I could probably face cleaning towels soaked in pee (although I have no drier and limited drying space so not keen to add to the mountain of laundry) but the disposable option is so much easier for poop. There don’t seem to be many other brands but I guess puppy pads and incontinance pads are basically the same thing.

Does the baby have nappy rash otherwise I'm not sure why you're doing nappy free time at all to be honest, it's not necessary.

If baby does have nappy rash then a washable play mat to contain them to would be most sensible. Either that or a plastic table cloth you could just wipe down after.

I use a couple of muslin cloths on a waterproof changing mat. Much smaller and lighter than towels so easier to wash and dry.

Large prefold cloth diapers.

we were a cloth diaper family though so would just wash them with the rest of the diapers.

DD1 used to get quite bad nappy rash so we'd just put a couple of towels down for some nappy free time. But it wasn't very often - I can't remember needing to do it once she was crawling.

Towels or a musi on a changing mat. As they get bigger they need it less and they poo less often :) once they are toddling they can run about naked in the garden to let that skin breathe:).

I just lay them on top of an open nappy on their changing mat
