11 week old daytime feeding/napping

I’m a FTM and my (almost) 11 week old DD sleeps really well, for the last 3 or so weeks she sleeps from about 9:30pm to 6/7am, usually without waking for a feed. So definitely not complaining about her night sleep as I know we’re really lucky so far!

She has on average about 28 oz/800ml in 24 hours (of formula). During the day she still feeds every 2-3hours taking anything from 3oz/90ml to 7oz/200ml, with the big feed in the morning after sleeping all night. But my question is should she still be feeding every 2-3hours during the day? When Google’d it looks like 2-4 month olds should be feeding every 4 hours….

Any advice / anyone experienced something similar? Im not sure if I’m misreading her feeding cues and offering her a bottle too often during the day which results in the small feeds…maybe she feeds often during the day to fill herself up for the long night stretch?

Also - she isn’t really in a routine for daytime napping, sometimes she’s tired after being awake for 1hour, sometimes she’s happy awake for 3hours+… so I just let her me contact nap on me during the day whenever she’s tired… should I be trying to get in a routine by now?

Never sure if what I’m doing is right…!

You are doing the right thing by following your baby not some Google article. Just keep following her cues for when she wants a feed and when she wants to nap. They're is no "should" and 4 his is a long time, I expect you don't go 4 hours without food or drink whether it's a meal, a cuppa, a biscuit or just a swig of water because you are thirsty. Remember her milk is both her food and her drink.

Step away from Google and keep on being responsive to your baby, you sound as though you are doing beautifully.

If she is sleeping through like that, I'd not change a thing!

Agree with this - count your lucky stars and don't rock the boat!

Both of mine liked to feed every 2-3 hours in the day right up until weaning, one bottle-fed, one breastfed directly.

Sounds fine.
DD is almost 6 months and still feeds 2-3 hourly in the day, it's just what she does. She naps when she's tired.
DS was a 4-5 hourly feeder with set nap times. That's what he liked.
Every baby is different and if it's working then don't worry about it.

Keep doing what you're doing! She'll refuse milk if she's not hungry. Keeping her well fed during the day will help maintain those lovely all night sleeps!

You don't need a timetabled routine, I used to monitor awake times rather than go by the clock.

Routines are not for 11 week olds: you just need to respond if she tells you she's hungry or tired. Ignore google.

My son fed every 2 hours at that age: it's mind blowing to me that some babies last 4.

Thanks so much for the replies everyone! I'll just keep responding to her as I am etc and try to relax :)
