Sterilising baby bottles

I've used Milton cold water steriliser for 8 months. Can I start washing my baby's bottles in the dishwasher? Does this sterilise them as well? Some websites say yes some say no 🤷🏻‍♀️

No the dishwasher does not sterilise them. Try a tommee tippee steriliser, they are great and only take about 5 mins to do a bunch of bottles. Or buy mam bottles which sterilise in the microwave!

I stopped sterilising at 6 months. Advised by my HV. I breastfeed. She said babies end up healthier when you stop at 6 months than a year

Also give the bottles of expressed milk

If formula then you need to sterilise until you stop using it - breastmilk I would stop at 6 months although I think NHS says to continue.
I did some breastmilk in a cup from 6 months so wouldn’t have sterilised that.
