Sleeping 5 and 3 year old

Hello can I have your thoughts please... just to preface this with I don't want to sleep train each to their own etc but not for me.

My 5 and 3 year old have both been awful sleepers from birth, mainly due to health issues but also due to comfort. We are now at the point where my husband and I end up with one on our bed and us in with one of them. Now this isn't the end of the world but it does mean we can't get anyone to do an overnight as they would have to deal with musical beds and that isn't fair and we desperately need a night away.

Anyway in my desperation I'm thinking would it be the worst idea to try them sleeping together in the same (double) bed and if that works then putting singles in big bedroom. There's loads of room in there. We'd keep the other room for when they're ready to stop sharing.

Is this the worst idea in the world? I just think they wake up looking for comfort/ lonely and maybe this would help?!

Do it! Definitely worth a try right?

That was my thought and I can't make it any worse right? Thought maybe the Easter hols would be a good time to try

Mine are almost 6 and 2 and we always do this on holiday! They both love it and it stops the younger one kicking off at sleeping somewhere unfamiliar (he’s a good sleeper but very much a homebody). If they’re both keen then I don’t see what you have to lose by trying it, especially over the Easter hols when the eldest won’t have school to get up for the next day.
