Distinctive smell after playing in cold

So this is an odd one, but I’m wondering if it’s a thing.
All my kids, including the baby, and my husband get this same smell after coming in from the cold. It’s not exercise related and isn’t a sweaty smell, just a very distinctive smell. I’ve never smelt it on myself, but then I probably wouldn’t.
is this a common thing? And if so does anyone know why?

Smelling cold is a thing.

Oh you can defo smell the cold on people.
I remember saying it to my cousin when he came round ours when we were kids, I said 'you smell of the cold'

It's a thing I think.

I've smelt it loads since then and it isn't a particularly nice smell either

I know exactly what you mean but I've never thought about it.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean! It’s strange cause you don’t get it every time you’ve been out in the cold. My mum would often smell that way after walking home from work.

Yes I can smell it. I thought it was just the smell of sweat without the hormone bit that adults get from the underarms etc.

Head sweat smell. You get it in the summer too but it's more noticeable in winter because of hats?
