My 2.5 year old had conjunctivitis for about 5 days, 3 weeks ago. I don’t know if this is something that carried on or if he started a few days after it cleared, but when he first wakes up in the morning he will keep his eyes closed for 30-60 minutes. He has been getting up early, is awake (with eyes closed) for about 30-60 minutes then goes back to sleep for an hour or so. That’s the current sleeping pattern. I ask if he can open his eyes and he says no, but I ask if his eyes are sore or hurt and he says no. He has always been a big sensitive to light and asks to turn the lights off in the living room first thing. When he does eventually open his eyes, they don’t look red or sore and there isn’t even always any ‘sleep’ in his lashes or corners of eyes. He saw the nurse practitioner on Monday and she didn’t get a good look in his eyes because he hates being examined at the drs in any way, but she said his pupils are dilating and from what she could see it all looks normal. I’m just worried that he might have something wrong with his eyes that could get worse if left
