Slapped cheek / rash / allergy.

Ok, I will try and keep this as clear as possible but with as much info as I can.

Baby is 8 months old.
She was exclusively breastfed till November when I started to bring in formula as she was starting Nursery in Jan. From Christmas she was bottle fed x 3 breast x 2.

From Jan just formula fed.

The 3rd week in Jan she got slapped cheek syndrome and a horrific rash with it.

The rash has never left and has caused great distress to DD. Literally ripping her skin open.

It has on occassion eased off but for 80% its been present.

We have been prescribed all manner of lotions and ointments. Steriod cream worked for a day or two the it came back. Steroid pills cleared it for 2 days then it came back.

The Dr has nows reffered to Dermatology and said they can't do anything further, because of the wait list in our area I've booked a private appointment but thats still April.

In the meantime everyone keeps saying its an allergy or potentially an allergy to cows milk, but surley this would have appeared when I started giving her formula in November? Also no other symptoms.

The Dr also said its not acting like an allergy.

Has anyone encountered anything similair? Or do you have any advise, particularly in regards to easing an itch.

Thankyou
