To move school or not to move school

Hello
I am new to this site and would like some advice with my son (13). I am a single disabled dad who had to take full custody of my son and as i lived in another part of the city (bristol) I moved him to a different secondary school nearer where we live. He has never felt accepted and is so miserable and so lonely I don't know what to do. I think I have made it worse by keeping him going for 2 and a half years now. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Let your son decide, it is the only way it’s going to work.

It’s very important for him to have extracurricular hobbies if he wants friends.

Something with his own age group, maybe ask all the other parents what their children do. Maybe ask school to find out.

Find out who lives locally to you. Invite them around to play on the computer or watch a film or something. Get him hanging out with someone.

I wanted to leave school at his age, completely different reasons but my dad said I had to stick with it or be quitting all my life.

I got through, did ok in my exams, but it was awful. The loneliness and being on guard all the time. No trust, no friends. I just quit on people instead of quitting on school.
