Growth hormone injection pain

Hello,

Does anyone have a child on growth hormone injections that experiences a LOT of pain after injecting? Some days it's pain free but others he's in so much pain afterwards for a long time.

I've tried searching online before and again tonight but can never find anything. I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

It's oiled based and it goes into the muscle. So it does hurt but I'd say only for 24hrs. My child has one injection each month.
