team sports - how to encourage or not

My 10 year old plays basketball. She asked to do the classes and she loves the training. She is as good as anyone else in the class at the bouncing or throwing ect... but when it comes to playing the game at the end she walks around with her arms folded, completely uninvolved and clearly out of her comfort zone. Her reasoning is that they are all better than her so there is no point engaging. Any ideas on how to improve her mindset here? Or should I just leave it, she is clearly not a team sport person

I would try to take every opportunity to tell her how good she is and to point out all of the wonderful things she does. Maybe encourage her to try other sports as well.

I don't know if The Confidence Code would help at all?

Thank you. The confidence code looks perfect. I don’t mind if she never gets into team sports - she does other things but it was the mindset issue that was bothering. The book looks perfect to help with that.
