FTM help pls! 1 month old crying while paced feeding and suffering with reflux

Hello everyone,

FTM here looking for some advice on feeding my 1 month old. I do combination feeding (EBS & formula). My baby seems awfully hungry while drinking the breast milk and every effort to pace her (even burb her halfway) is met with very angry cries. As a result she is making herself sick with reflux, taking ages to calm down and put to bed until the next cycle begins.

Anyone faced with something similar and what could I do to limit her intake before being super sick? I have tried dummies which mask the hunger for only a few minutes.

Grateful for any advice!

I was in the same position 3 years ago and in the end I stopped bf and just formal fed and it all stopped and baby was so much more happier and she had silent reflux

Is she mostly sick after a big feed, or is she sick other times? Are there signs of reflux or silent reflux more generally (things like arching her back, crying when laid flat, gulping and swallowing when she's not feeding, as well as actually being sick)? If there are more general signs of reflux, she may be drinking desperately because she's in pain and the milk soothes it. DD2 had bad reflux (and still has it a bit), and the right medicine made a huge difference. If it's just over filing her stomach, I don't really know. Perhaps offer a feed a bit more often, so she's less hungry when she starts?
