Hands free electric breast pumps

Does anyone use the hands free electric breast pumps? I currently use the MAM pump which is great as I get a good quantity of milk out but sitting for hours every day to pump is impractical sometimes.
Any opinions on the Elvie, Tommee Tippee or any other recommendations?

I tried Elvie and found it awful and next to useless. Sent it back.

I found hospital grade Medela the best (monthly rental) as whilst it was hooked up it was so much quicker and more efficient.

I got a cheapy one from amazon similar to this: www.amazon.co.uk/Upgraded-Electric-Wearable-Portable-Display/dp/B0B92J5GWP/ref=sr_1_53?crid=YVFBFTD9HKCH&amp%3Bkeywords=electric%20breast%20pump&amp%3Bqid=1679169815&amp%3Bsprefix=electric%2520breast%2520pump%2Caps%2C111&amp%3Bsr=8-53&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

I read lots of bad reviews of the elvie so I was reluctant to spend so much on it, this one worked well for me but may not be as powerful as the Medela I suppose.

The Elvie can be a bit fiddly, but once you get the hang of it, it is so much better than the Medula swing which is the other one I had.

Almost exclusively pumped for 9 months and wouldn’t have been able to do that with the Medula.
You shouldn’t expect to be able to do very much while pumping! You can’t bend over or do anything vigorous, but you can wander about and pick up and feed baby at the same time.
The downside is the cost of buying two.

Dont “heat” sterilise the shields as they will warp and the shields and rubber pump bit and surrounding area need to be completely dry when you start pumping or the suction is too weak.
Some breastfeeding bras are better than others to get the tension needed for the Elvie.

good luck!

I should add that Ive had problems with the units with charging and not connecting with Bluetooth which is very annoying, but every time they have sent me a new unit within 48 hours.

I exclusively pumped with the Elvie for 3 months. Absolutely loved it.

I sold it, pregnant with number 3 and will order another double in the summer.
