3yo sleep

Hi, just wondering if people would share how much sleep, both day and night if still napping, their three year olds are having please?

My son's 3.5, no day nap, goes to bed at 7/7:30 and awake about 6ish, however will wake at least once during the night and then I've noticed a bit of daytime yawning recently too so just wondering what others his age are doing for comparison.

Thanks!

My daughter will be 3 in May and is very similar to your son. She naps some days (maybe twice a week) for a couple of hours in the afternoon and then sleeps 7-6 with maybe a wake up or 2 to go to the loo in the night. On the days she doesn't nap she may fall asleep slightly earlier/more quickly and may not wake in the night but could be awake a little before 6 in the morning!

Although he's potty trained he's not dry at night so still in a pull up so we don't have that problem, he'll wake up crying and one of us has to go in and resettle him. He's ill (again) at the moment so that's definitely not helping but even when he's well he's a bad sleeper 🤦‍♀️

My 3.5 stopped napping at Xmas time. He goes to bed 7pm and wakes at 6am ish too. He often gets more tired in the afternoon and I find he likes to go lay on the sofa with a blanket and watch tea for some quiet time or watch his iPad in embed with milk.

He does wake in the night which has gotten worse as he's been waking to Sue the toilet at night and shouting us to help. He's in a really bad waking patch at the minute and we're all exhausted but this too shall pass (so they say...!)

My eldest didn't properly sleep through the night until he was about 6 months into school 💤

Okay so seems like it's not abnormal for him to be waking at night then which is good! (Just annoying 😂) I was worrying everyone else's 3.5 year old slept through and it was just us not sleeping haha

Mine goes to bed around 8-8.30pm, wakes 6-7am depending. He still needs us to sit with him until he’s asleep, and then gets up and comes into our bed at some point. He will still wake 2-5 times overnight.

Naps rarely - maybe once a every 2 weeks of overtired and we are in car or pram, never at home.

Hes always been a terrible sleeper, although he’s super active and doesn’t ever seem tired daytime even when he’s slept badly. Nursery say he’s really active there also and doesn’t sit down

Our just turned 3 year old, sleeps 7/7:30 until about 6:30/7. She doesn’t nap but gets tired in the afternoon and sometimes drifts off in the buggy on the school run for big brother. We try to avoid that though as makes bedtime hardwork. She wakes maybe 2 or 3 nights out of the week and clambers in with us-goes straight back to sleep. Not ideal but think she just likes a cuddle and figure it’s just a phase. I think if you’re only getting the one wake up overnight and he’s a bit poorly at the mo, I reckon he’s doing just fine!
