Do you send your child in to school/Pre school if they have a cough/cold?

I don't want to send DD in particularly until she's over this cough & cold (no temp, fine in herself, just bunged up & coughing) she's had a rotten winter being poorly with flu, sick bugs, croup etc. I've always said until a couple months ago, as long as she had no temp & was happy in herself I'd still send her in with a cough/cold. This came back to bite me as I sent her in, then she caught a sick bug, & flu within the same week, which could have been something that would happen anyway but I wonder if it happened as her immune system was already down. Anyway it took ages until she was 'right' again. It would be a right fuck around with work if I kept her home & she clearly benefits from going to PS, which is where she catches all these delightful germs anyway. Just wondered what others takes on it are?

Yes for a cough or cold, or he'd never be there. If actually unwell in themselves, or a temperature then no.

It depends. A mild sniffle, yes.

A hacking cough, and generally run down, no.
