Rash 13 month old

Hi everyone,

My smallest one has developed this rash on his back. He’s had this patch for a couple of weeks which I thought was eczema, but on waking this morning it’s a lot more pronounced and he also has a few more patches of it on his tummy and arms. It’s quite dry, hence why I thought eczema but now I’m not convinced. He has his 1 year jabs 10 days ago for reference! But this patch has been there longer than that.

Has anyone seen it before? I’ve requested an appointment with the GP today and if they’re not open due to the snow (we’ve got about 40cm) I’ll make my down to A&E somehow. I just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas whilst we wait!

Thank you x

I think it looks like a patch of eczema. Does it go red if you put moisturiser on it ? That's what happens to my dd's eczema

This is hers for comparison if it helps

Yes it looks exactly like that!! That’s great thank you for that. Does she have any cream for it?

I agree it's like excema

@Oscardoggy no, the gp was pretty rubbish to be honest and just said to use moisturiser but didn't state what ones are okay lol. Aveeno baby makes it worse though! But I now use oilatum for her in the bath and try not to put much on it as it flares up worse.

I’ve been using Aveeno too, so that’s really interesting it’s made things worse for your little one! I’ll try the oilatum in the bath too.

We’ve got a GP appointment this afternoon so I’ll ask about some steroid cream. Thanks so much for your help.
