Hi everyone - my usually relatively chill 9 week old the last two days has been crying it feels non stop. All night last night and all day today he has cried and cried. He stopped and napped in his pram earlier for an hour but the second we got home he was crying again. I noticed earlier what looks like his bottom teeth - is this possible and causing his distress or is it far too early? His cheeks are slightly red and he is chewing his fists but no drooling.

I have attached a picture when he was crying I noticed it looked like teeth were coming in at the bottom - is this his teeth emerging or do baby gums always look like this? Sorry if that is a stupid question but my brain is turning to mush and my ears are ringing.

Yes it does look like teeth to me - the shape of the teeth breaking through. Before they pop through the gum is the most painful apparently. Poor babba, that’s early for teeth! You may have weeks or months before they actually break through but you’ll probably find some days / weeks are fine and other times more distressing.

Calprofen / nurofen and Anbesol liquid seems to work best for us!
