Hi all, this is my second baby who is 3 weeks old, ff and doesn’t drink more than 1 oz at a time and then feeds every hour or so all day. She seems so unsettled between feeds as if she’s still hungry but won’t take anymore and therefor won’t sleep. We tried increasing the teat size to mam size 2 but she vomited everywhere. She has been referred for a possible posterior tongue tie but Mw didn’t seem sure. She is finally gaining weight and has now gone over her birth weight. I’m just feeling very sleep deprived and feel as this will never end and she will always be feeding this little and often and therefore will never sleep properly. Please someone tell me your stories of similar who have come out the other side!

Ever likely you are tired.

Do you know when you'll get the appointment to get the TT assessed?

Another possibility might be Cow's Milk Protein Allergy. Does she have any of these symptoms?

Of course, you could be really unlucky and she could have both Flowers

its a week today the appointment which I know is really good but feels like a long way away. Looking at the symptoms I don’t think she has CPMA. Thanks for replying, hopefully I will look back in a few months time with a bit more sleep and laugh at my despair!

The size 2 are a very fast flow and recommended for 3m+ I tried my twins on them who are 3 months old now and they can't handle them. Sometimes my boy twin doesn't even tolerate the size 1 teat but his sister can.

My boy twin also has CMPA. He had green poos (still does so hoping this new formula will change that for him!) but he was quite fidgety at feeds and didn't want to take much. He seems much more settled on this milk now. He also had tongue tie but they snipped that in the hospital before I was discharged.

Sounds silly but have you tried undressing a bit mid feed to see if they take more than 1oz?
