What do you dress your 9-12 month old in April-June?

I’m starting to shop for my 8 month olds next size up wardrobe. He’ll likely be 9-12 months sometimes between April-June but may extend into July and I feel a bit clueless as to what to buy, which seems stupid I know! The weather varies a lot during this time.

Do you prefer long or short sleeved tops for these months? I know I can layer depending on temperature but are short or long sleeved tops better to buy? I don’t know how many “summery” clothes to get in this size yet. He’s about to crawl too so any recommendations for good crawling clothes!

If he will be crawling I wouldn't go overboard on short trousers, he will need his knees covered at least Wink

Baby weather app tells you what to wear.
Mostly leggings, t shirts, long-sleeves, cardigans, April-june can be frosty or heatwavey 🤷🏻‍♀️

I personally preferred tshirts and hoodies/jumpers. It's still weather for lots of layers, but they can be lighter than the depths of winter. And of course layers can be removed

I did short sleeves then. Just leggings and short sleeve vests. Then add cardigan or jumper when colder, remove when warmer.

I’d go short sleeved vests, joggers but nothing to thick, a mix of short sleeved and long sleeved tops to go over the vest, a couple of jumpers/hoodies for colder weather, a couple of pairs of shorts in case of a heatwave, light raincoat. Covers all bases! If you’re on the cusp of sizes I usually go up in tops to get more wear out of them because they’re fine a bit big but go for the correct size in bottoms so they don’t fall down!

I quite often put them in long sleeved vests with a t shirt on top if a bit chilly - it looks cute, and if outside then it kept their arms covered from the sun. Joggers or shorts or leggings. A couple of cardigans or zip-through hoodies.
