Mom friends that compare kids

Just what the title says. Anyone had those mom friends in your friend circle/ close friends that since we’ve had children have become so obsessed with how much their child can do & compare theirs to yours?.
my son is showing signs of autism and whenever i vent to so called friend, she seems to endlessly tell me how much hers can say and do.

I do like to brag about my son, but when I'm talking to other mums I try and ask about areas I know their kids are good at

Thankfully I don’t mix with people like that!

I think this is really common with some parents but you learn to spot them a mile off. I just don’t engage to be honest & they realise that there isn’t much point in playing one upmanship with you.

Hi OP, I've experienced this too and it's really annoying but I don't think there's much you can do about it sadly.
What I've realised is I'm only sensitive about people bragging when I perceive them to be having a better time of it than I am.
For instance not just with kids but when BIL discusses money (all the time) if we're feeling a bit skint that month I'm more sensitive about it.
So I know how you feel with you DS too as mine was showing signs and my friend wound me up by her son meeting milestones early whilst mine was slow. I'm sorry I have no real advice other than grit your teeth and imagine that your friend is bragging because she's lacking somewhere in life, basically she hasn't got it all!
