Squirmy aptimal fed

I have a 6 week old formula fed with Aptimal. He is very squirmy and can be grunty. I read this was common from aptimal, I feel like this prevents him being put down as he will then squirm and cry. I give infacol before each feed and burp at every ounce and this helps a little but he is still uncomfortable.

I think it's just common for babies in general at that age. I wouldn't say it's the particular brand of formula as they are all very very similar. Although there may be people who come along and tell you they switched to another brand and it made a difference. Babies digestive system is so underdeveloped at 6 weeks it's common for them to squirm and grunt and struggle with wind. They will grow out of it.

Just watch out for other symptoms such as a rash, mucus or green poos. But if that's not present I'd say... Normal ☺️

My DS was the same. It got better around 10 weeks I think and is a lot better now at 4 months. (Also aptamil fed and honestly, he's thriving)

I would drop the infacol as it often makes reflux worse. Try feeding in a more upright position and make sure your pace feeding.
