My son is 2 and a half and has two older siblings, DD4 and DS6. If I leave the room he pounces all over them, climbs the furniture, rips glasses of DS face, pulls DD hair, throws toys. jumps, wrestles them, destroys whatever they are playing with. I can't take any more. They can't bring any of their toys downstairs as he throws them over the stairgate into the kitchen constantly. He is constantly shutting doors, gates etc.

He is the same when I'm in the room to except for the furniture climbing.

Any suggestion welcome please ASAP!!!

What is the consequence of this behaviour then ?

Thisisthewaywe · 04/03/2023 11:15

Mine isn’t this extreme but the opening and closing doors and constant relocating of toys drives me a bit bananas. So sympathy.

Mine wouldn’t give a toss about consequences either if that helps!

I've tried distraction, removed him from the room, quietly explaining, shouting, putting him on the "spot" which he thinks is hilarious and a game so I don't bother with that one at the mo.

I have the same issue with my 3yr old and it's relentless. Any consequence by removing toys etc has absolutely no impact not does time out. I have no solution but feel your frustration. It's relentless at the moment
