size 1 bamboozles - do they really last until 18lbs?

my dd has some and she is 10lb 2oz, we really doubt they will last until 18lb. We don't know if she is tall or not but i think they will soon be very low cut, they are just under her belly button now, there are a few more poppers left width wise. size 2 folded down is just above belly button. anyone else have any similar experience?

I think it really does depend on build rather than weight, DD was very slim and didn't put on much weight at all (was 22lb at 18 months) and out of size 1 by 4 months, yet DS2 is HUGE (24lb at 9 months) yet the size 1 tots lasted him until he was 6 months.

I'm with curly, depends on build. Ds is pretty small, still not reached 20lb aged 1 yet he was out of his tots fluffles by 4 months.

doh! was going to contrast that with a friend's dd who could still wear her size 1 bamboozles at over a year old.

my size one tots (cotton not bamboozles) lasted dd until she was around 9 months, so yes about 18lbs

Yes for ds, but by then size 2 fit him much better.

Definitely agree it does depend on the build.

I was using many different types just as we were growing out of Size 1 nappies as I wanted to try out a few before chosing what to get in size 2. What I found was the deciding factor on how long they lasted was the absorbancy rather than the fit. Most still fitted at 18lb but the absorbancy wasn't enough to cope and they were too small to be boosted to a sufficient absorbancy and still fit. Does that make sense? .

That said I think the bamboozles can shrink a bit and I don't find them the stretchiest of nappies. My DD at 20m can still fit in Little Lamb, Bambinex and Lollipop Size 1 nappies as they have more stretch and can be 'hoisted up'. Of all her nappies, I think she grew out of her size 1 tots first though (they were cotton not bamboozles)
