Baby hates car seat… HELP!

2nd baby and she HATES the car and car seat it’s getting worse, she’s coming up on 4 months old.
I’ve tried everything, mirror so she can see me/toys/cartoons to distract her. I’ve played nursery rhymes, talk to her - she just screams to the point of choking.
I would have moved her to front and turn airbag off but my front passenger seat doesn’t have isofix (plus I know it’s not recommended but I’m desperate at this point).
Even thinking of trying another car seat at this point.. did anyone else have the same issue and anything worked? (Could she be carsick at this age 🤷🏼‍♀️)

Hate to say it but it just might have to be one of those things she grows out of! I also had an absolute scream until she vomited car hater. Its stressful!

Mine did better in one of those group 0-1 convertible seats, possibly because they’re a bit more upright and higher than a baby carrier. Do you have one for your older child that you could try her in?

My baby hated her car seat, we borrowed one from a friend to see if it was the seat that was the issue and it was!

We bought a new seat and she's happy as Larry in there now 😀

Mine hated it until he went into the next stage seat. I think the rules gave changed so that might be a while now. My son basically cried and was sick in his car seat. We avoided long journeys, sucked it up for essential journeys that couldn't be done on public transport. No advice just sympathy

I’m thinking this may be the case 😩🤦‍♀️

I don’t, he’s nearly 6 so he’s out of his smaller group car seat it’s hard as I don’t want to buy a different seat then she screams anyway it’s an expensive trial lol (even 2nd hand)

Thank you 😩🤣 it’s the fact they overheat/choke/vomit it’s dangerous and I’m not avoiding journeys and motorways so I can pull in if she chokes 🤦‍♀️

My DD was like this, wasn't until she reached age to forward face that it got a little bit better. She had severe travel sickness when younger, literally sick driving to bottom of road, so looking back im sure this is why she hated rear facing. Did find that not driving for an hour after milk helped & keeping her cool during travel.

Like runningonempty we avoided long journey unless essential, then I would sit in back so at least could deal with any sickness quickly until safe to stop
