Does this look normal?! 1mo belly button

Comparing photos of my 1 month old and my eldest when he was 1 month old and I noticed my eldest belly button just looks normal, as you'd typically expect just a normal inverted belly button, no bulging or anything, flat around it

My 1 month olds looks like this so totally different, I've heard of but never seen an outie belly button before, is this one? Is that why it looks like this? Or is something wrong?

Could be an umbilical hernia. Is baby's 6 week check coming up with the GP? I would mention it then, if not would try and get a GP appt. I think they sometimes need surgery.

Looks like maybe a granuloma. Contact your GP and ask them to have a look - these things usually resolve themselves but sometimes need a second look
