My 16 month old does not stop pulling my hair. All day everyday. I get out of the house from 9am until 5pm purely because if we are in the house all he does is climb on me and pull my hair. All night- he gets out of bed (he has a floor bed- will NOT sleep in a cot, his sleep is another story) and climbs into ours to then climb on my head and pull my hair.
I'm at breaking point with this. We've tried everything that you're meant to do to stop this and he just doesn't stop. I'm at loss. Has anybody else ever had this or knows of what to do.

I would wear a rubber swimming cap. Seriously.

Definitely get him into a cot.

Do you ever get upset and cry about it? Does he see the effect it has in you?

Personally I'd be cross about it and would probably raise my voice a bit with a firm "no" and put him down in the ground as soon as he did it, each and every time.

And either a cot for night time or in his own room with a door guard so he can't get out.

How do you react? DD went through a phase of this about the same age or a bit younger and every single time I told her firmly "No, that hurts! We do not pull hair." and removed myself from her, whether that meant walking away, putting her in the play pen, whatever worked to make me physically unavailable. She soon stopped when she realised whatever game we were playing would end and mummy would leave every time she did it.

Is your hair long or short, worn up or down?

I used to sit with my head/hair out of reach, can you not do that?

Tight bun or hat. Sharp no and turn away from him if he manages to grab you.
